a journey of self discovery. You just never know what we might see. Is that a fairy ring under that rowan tree? Look! - a hedgewitch, I wonder what she is brewing in her cauldron today. Oh, and look at that poor menopausal soul, she needs our love & understanding. We may take a stop at the creativity school or a wander through the garden. And maybe, we will take the time machine back to the past! But wherever we go, we will always take time to stop for tea.

all I want for Christmas. . .

I have succumbed to Christmas fever way before I had planned to, BUT in this day and age of ordering online - I guess a gal has to do what a gal has to do BUT I simply refuse to even think about decorating until December 1 when my wreath goes on the door and out come Frank & Bing!
I have a few pals who sell their wares online ~ you simply must go have a look!
1) gorgeous, gorgeous cards from my first ever SOSF buddy:
THE red elephant Christmas store

2)lots of yummy scrummy art danglies and such from Colette - love her work!Christmas art danglies & cards

I agree! I won`t be putting any Christmas things up until the first week. I think it takes the feel of Christmas away if everything is already up so early.
Off to see your friends things :)

I can't - I just can't think about it yet...it's like I have a Christmas mental block...except where themed swaps are concerned. I listen to Frank and Bing at Christmas too...along with Celtic Christmas music.
I ordered cards from dear Gretel myself...looking forward to receiving them! All good recommendations...I have the soaps as well, they are AMAZING!!!
XOXO

With a little over five weeks to go, it will be here before we know it. I agree ~ hold off with the decorations, but shopping sometimes has to be done early..besides it's great fun. I will go check those sites..

Thanks for the links, Robyn. I just purchased some soaps from Ms Diva. My daughter likes special soaps and she has sensitive skin so I hope these are good.

Yay - Christmas! I'm so excited. I'm having a tree trimming party next Sunday, just a little before December, and then the festive season madness starts for us - all our weekends are already booked - I'm so darn popular! Haha! Just kidding - it is crazy this year though, so much is on!

Hi miss*R
This is such a tempting post. I stopped doing Christmas more than ten years ago. I was so overwhelmed by the financial side of it and by the confusing boundaries of who receives a gift from me and who is too far. I also have issues with *stuff* and *things*. For years now Christmas has been so relaxing and inexpensive and wintery.

But you and your host of faery friends here make me think that it might be possible to enjoy Christmas without making a total capitalist nightmare out of it. Hmmmm. You have given me pause to think.

I especially like Colette's items. Wonderful dolls!

My family celebrates Christmas in a variety of ways (its a half-pagan/half-Christian combo) and we usually have a loose theme. Last year four of our family, including me, spent some time camping on safari in Africa, so we cooked up a big African dinner instead of the traditional turkey. Another year we had a Spanish theme for a similar reason.

This year the loose theme is "SecondHand Christmas"--all gifts must be recycled in some way---I'm loving the flea markets and old bookshops this season.

We've talked about a "Homemade Gift" theme though. It would be quite challenging for some of us, but I could get into it if I had enough time to plan. :)
