a journey of self discovery. You just never know what we might see. Is that a fairy ring under that rowan tree? Look! - a hedgewitch, I wonder what she is brewing in her cauldron today. Oh, and look at that poor menopausal soul, she needs our love & understanding. We may take a stop at the creativity school or a wander through the garden. And maybe, we will take the time machine back to the past! But wherever we go, we will always take time to stop for tea.

Oo, yum! Should the lavender flowers be fresh or dried? Mine's not blooming right now (and I'm embarrassed to say this, but) the last bunch of lavender I dried is (cough) a little dusty...But next time it blooms, I'd like to try this.

I miss getting the Herb Companion.

I love the smell of lavender and right now I have a bunch of dried I bought to crush. I like to make wee pillows and put a bit inside. I'd love to grow my own. BUT I haven't ever had it as an ingredient...it sounds so interesting. Have you made these yourself?
XOXO

I grew lavender in a pot this summer, but it never flowered...
I'll just imagine I made the cookies and imagine what they taste like...

I love the smell of lavender but can't quite imagine how they would taste. Nick (my older son) used to keep a jar of lavender infused sugar because he read about making it and had to try it. I think he had that jar for 4 years before I finally had to throw it away.

I should have used it to bake cookies!

Gosh they sound fantastic. In my jar of white caster sugar I always keep some lavender heads from the garden. We had a bumper crop this year, which all went into sachets, incense and sugar-flavouring. It's one of my favourite herbs :)

Robyn, that sounds yum...now where does one go to purchase lavender flowers. Well, there is a lavender farm in south Texas, but I don't know where else I might get them. Anyway, I saved the recipe. Thanks!!
