a journey of self discovery. You just never know what we might see. Is that a fairy ring under that rowan tree? Look! - a hedgewitch, I wonder what she is brewing in her cauldron today. Oh, and look at that poor menopausal soul, she needs our love & understanding. We may take a stop at the creativity school or a wander through the garden. And maybe, we will take the time machine back to the past! But wherever we go, we will always take time to stop for tea.

thankyou

a note of thanks (not) to the person who in their wisdom has signed me up for a daily bible verse. I am now the 'proud?' recipient of a bible verse each day from some lady I do not know and in my wildest moment would never have signed up for this. I do however, receive a daily goddess email - which I DID sign up for all by myself.
I don't have a problem with religion at all - each to their own .
I have a few problems with this daily religious email :
a) an email address of mine was used to sign me up - someone has impersonated me
b)I am old enough to know if I am in need of being saved
c)I cannot for the life of me - unsubscribe - so I am going to report this to yahoo
I think this is invasion of privacy - much like those who knock at my door trying to sell me their religion.
blessings & bliss xo
to clarify - I don't know who the person is who has sent this to me. I have tried to unsubscribe but the email comes back. I cannot sign in to the yahoo group that it belongs to as it says I am not a member. My primary email address was not used - it was my daily parcels swap email - so I will delete that. I don't hve a problem with bible verses - some of them are wonderful. I have a problem with whoever signed me up - thinking they are either funny or trying to 'save me'

Yes it seems like someone has just gone to far in doing that! We all blog openly and do not need things like this to be done. It is a violation of friendship to invade someone's privacy like that. Good for you Robyn, for reporting it.xx

Look at the bottom of the page of one of the daily verses and it should have a addy to click on if you no longer want it or didn't want it. I got one sent to me and deleted for a few days then scrolled down and found how to stop it. They have to have that so people can unsubscribe at anytime.

Ah........you have your e-mail listed, so that`s how they`ve done it.
Anonymous doings like that are more likely to upset than be of any kindness or help. I`m sure whoever did it meant only good toward you though.
I once signed up my hubby to an e-mail thingy, but he didn`t mind the one I chose.
Like Peggy says, look at the bottom and it will say how to unsub.

Sorry this happened to you, Miss Robyn! Peggy is right in that there should be a way to unsubscribe at the bottom of the email. I would check to see if there is way to report it as well. {{Hugs}}

I'm so sorry this happened Robyn! This is just so outrageous...wish there was a way to trace that email to find out who did this to you. I hope yahoo can help on this..I would have reported it also. Why can't people mind their own business and leave others alone! xxoo Hugs to you hon.

That is the type of thing that infuriates me too. How would the party who sent them to you feel if you subscribed them to a daily dose of something other than Biblical?

I'm sorry someone has done this to you. It's so stupid. You know, the thing that makes it hardest for me to be a Christian are other Christians. yuck.

Robyn, if you can't unsubscribe, as Peggy suggests, when you get the next one, click on Action and Junk E-mail. You can then have this sender added to the Blocked Senders List. I've been doing this for the past few weeks and have a list as long as my arm, but they don't show up on the emails anymore.

Much of the spam that comes (or did come) through to me doesn't even have my correct email address. It only has the first three letter right, and the rest can be anything. The irony is that if a friend tried to send me an email with only part of the address correct, you can bet that it wouldn't go through.

We all have basic freedoms one of which is choosing our path of what spirituality means to us as individuals....to inflict someones agenda on another, unsolicited and unknown is an invasion of that freedom. I hope you can get rid of the email and hopefully reporting it will bring some resolution. I agree about religion at the door as well....I don't answer. You don't need saving, the individual who perpetuated the emails does.

How annoying :( I'm sure there must be some way of stopping them - good luck in doing so.

Take care of yourself :)

Gee. I wonder how someone can be as bold as that. Even if they meant well, it is quite rude. It is exactly like knocking at your door invading your privacy.

I want to laugh because I have a stereo-type image in my head of the person who would think that this is a good idea! I think that person could have at least asked you if it would be ok...who knows? In that context you might very well have said 'Sure, perhaps I'd like that each day.' or 'Gosh, thank you so much for the thought but I don't think that's for me.' Mostly I assume people who do stuff like that without asking are really bored with their lives.

Wow..that's just wrong....to take the initiative on something like that..they could have e-mailed you and shared the link with you and then you could have decided for yourself...hopefully this person had 'good' intentions and maybe just didn't think about how their actions would be received? unfortunately doing it this way just seems underhanded...don't these people realize that doing things in that manner just serves to turn people 'away" rather than draw them in??? I mean if you have to do it on the 'sly" then what kind of message ARE you trying to send???

Reading this post made my jaw drop..I just can't understand people like that who take it upon themselves to do such things! Like the others have said, that's just plain wrong! I respect everyone's religion but don't try to push it on me...that's my motto:-) I would mark it as junk mail and it would go straight in there instead of your inbox. Hugs xoxo

Some people do have a lot of nerve. You should be able to unsubscribe or block it like the others said. I am so sorry Robyn, that you seem to be on the receiving end of someones' misguided attempt to "save" you.
Angel Hugs to you dear friend!

Robyn Hi!,
I understand your feelings on this and that recieving "junk" is always a waist of time that is if you do not request it.

I am so new to all this that I just need to say what a good chat as all those who have left comments and advise above have helped me too!

Thank you my blogger friend for letting us know all about this.

Oh Robyn, I guess they just don't have a life and want to inflict themselves into someone else's. I'm sorry for them.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with the Bible. It has everything to do with invasion of privacy. This person needs to learn respect.
