a journey of self discovery. You just never know what we might see. Is that a fairy ring under that rowan tree? Look! - a hedgewitch, I wonder what she is brewing in her cauldron today. Oh, and look at that poor menopausal soul, she needs our love & understanding. We may take a stop at the creativity school or a wander through the garden. And maybe, we will take the time machine back to the past! But wherever we go, we will always take time to stop for tea.

spring eye candy

a little wander around my yard this morning - it is just a perfect spring day. still the winter chill but with a touch of warmth, promising longer days. the crisp, fresh smell of spring and the sunlight - so I grabbed my camera and snapped. neighbours thought I was mad, but hey! I live in Woodford - the air is thin up here. more to come tomorrow!
have a wonderful weekend - xo

my manchurian pear tree, with her new spring clothes * the letter box where I receive all my lovely letters, this was bought from a hardware shop Washington state.

newly planted lavender - I am planning on having a field of lavender here

my iris - planted among my roses

a collection of pots - just waiting to be used, sitting on an old seat found in council cleanups

and yes - I have weeds too! I love dandelions and I never ever pull weeds from my lawn - I am a kind of 'let the garden go' girl

I tried to email you about the Chocolate Swap, it wouldn't go through. I'm lost. I love dandelions. I don't really understand why such wonderful prolific flowers are called weeds.

I love the idea of a flied of lavender, I also don't mind a few weeds, a lot of weeds are just wild flowers and are sort of herbs anyway and can be used to heal. If a 'weed' has pretty flowers and is not too invasive it may stand a chance of being left alone in my garden. It just the 'baddies' like couch grass, ground elder etc that I get rough with. Love and Hugs xx

How lovely to have such things growing and ready to bloom in the season nearly upon you. Dandelions are something I've called "wish flowers" since I was a child. If you made a wish and blew on them all the little bits floated in the air and if they all came off wishes would come true. I have no gardening ability so I am in awe of anyone with a flourishing garden. (especially lavendar)

I had some beautiful spring weeds in my front yard. I'm sure folks wondered about me as I mowed around them but I just couldn't bear to chop them down.

I look forward to watching the progress of your lavender. I would love to plant lavender next year. I'm getting all tingly just thinking about it!

It's a nice crisp morning here with that wonderful autumn sunlight and I am feeling energized. Fall always feels like a beginning to me..just like spring.

Ok..I'm writing a book here. hehe Talk to ya later.

What a peaceful, lovely place you have. Enjoy every second. Weeds are great -- they need no maintenance!

I can't resist dandelions - that's even one of my daughter's nicknames. Your garden and yard look wonderful and spring-like (but I'm happy we're entering autumn in Paris).
