a journey of self discovery. You just never know what we might see. Is that a fairy ring under that rowan tree? Look! - a hedgewitch, I wonder what she is brewing in her cauldron today. Oh, and look at that poor menopausal soul, she needs our love & understanding. We may take a stop at the creativity school or a wander through the garden. And maybe, we will take the time machine back to the past! But wherever we go, we will always take time to stop for tea.

FATHERS DAY

Fathers Day here in Australia, today. My dad is not here on earth now - although he is here in spirit with me quite often - however* to the love of my life - Joe - I wish a wonderful day. He has gone off riding with the Ulysses club ( a bike group for those over 50) - off to have lunch at a very small town called Rocklea - population - not many: about 50 at the max. - where there is one hotel and 8 churches - that is it. Ha! that makes my mind boggle. We went out for breakfast this morning, met up with the bikers and off he went - after his accident last year, I was dead against him buying another bike - but ahh well - he deserves it - he is a wonderful father and a great husband and a lovely soul. I am still to get on the back - still waiting for my full set of Harley Davidson leathers - and then maybe. I am just scared stiff to be getting on the back - but the rebel girl in me would love to ! !

So now I can call you a Biker Chick? Your hub is a cutie! The rumble of a Harley makes me purr....You lucky girl, go for it! I'll meet up with you and Cat in Sturgis next summer...only I'll be driving an SUV with my "mountain bike" on top of the roof. Love the black leather jackets too. ROCK ON ROBYN and JOE!

Cool! I feel the same way. My guy just got another bike and I'm chicken to ride behind him..but at the same time, I'd love to.

I bet you look cute in your leathers. :) Your hubby is a cutie. Happy Father's Day to him.

In my younger days I rode on the back of bikes quite often and loved it. Several times my hubby has mentioned getting a bike but we haven't yet. There's nothing like a country road and the wind in your hair. Try it!

Have to say I'm with you, not a fan of riding on the back of motorcycles...in fact I won't. Luckily for me G's desire for one waned a few years ago.
You can't ask for more than a good husband and a good father - that's worth everything!

Middle aged men and bikes, its a phenomena the world over. About 20miles from where I live there is a notorious piece of road with bends and curves inclines and declines where bikers of all ages like to let the throttle go,numerous middle aged men seem to come to grief on this road. Its a sort of reliving their youth, but I don't begrudge them it. I bete they all have 'born to be wild' playing in their heads when they roar around. lol! xx

Lovely picture of your man Robyn! I think it's great that you sent him on his way today wishing him well on his bike.
Can just imagine you on the back o his bike with your blonde hair flying in the breeze.

I am so glad you have a special man in your life - you deserve it!

My father died 8 years ago and I find father's day a bit of a sad time. But I remember him fondly. Such a wonderful, warm and loving husband and father - hope to meet a man like him one day.

I've been urging Ken to join the Ulysses club down here for ages, but he hasn't got around to it. We went everywhere together on our motorcycles, until I got a car and couldn't afford two lots of reg. and insurance, so the bike had to go (sob). After that it was pillion on Ken's bike until last year when my back problems made it impossible for me to tolerate long journeys on the back of his bike. Ah well, I have some great memories....hope Joe had a fantastic day - lucky bugger!!!!
