a journey of self discovery. You just never know what we might see. Is that a fairy ring under that rowan tree? Look! - a hedgewitch, I wonder what she is brewing in her cauldron today. Oh, and look at that poor menopausal soul, she needs our love & understanding. We may take a stop at the creativity school or a wander through the garden. And maybe, we will take the time machine back to the past! But wherever we go, we will always take time to stop for tea.

saturday stuff

I woke this morning to a cold, cold day - got the fire going and then noticed that it was raining. ahh well, no gardening - so a to-do list: 1) visit all my favourite blogs - I have been a rubbish friend this past week and have been spasmodic in my comments - I will be over to visit sometime today! 2) I am going to sort out all the swaps I am currently involved in and start gathering all the bits together for each one 3) work on my art doll - who is looking quite wonderful, I think! 4) play with my bitsy quilt
so Joe & I went to Leura today for coffee at Josephans - they make chocolate there *they have a chocolate fountain and lots of yummy, yummy hand made chocolates - I had a yummy piece of mexican chocolate cake (shared with Joe of course - he got more!), would hate to think how many calories were in it and I bought some chocolate bits and pieces for the chocolate swap.
then I saw the front page of the paper and Peter Brock was killed yesterday in a car rally ! ! another aussie icon gone - what the hell is happening ? and now I keep thinking that things happen in 3's - (so my nan use to say) ~ who is next?

Yes, as ShellyC summed it up on Tanya's blog - "Yep, one shitty week."

Robyn - I guess our 3 'celebrities' began with Don Chipp.

So sorry about Peter Brock. A couple of years ago we lost some well-loved American icons, too...but I honestly can't remember the order or if there were 3 (it seems like there were). I just remember I was devastated when John Ritter died. I grew up with him.

On to chocolate....that sounds so yummy. I don't think I've seen a chocolate fountain. yummmm

I can't wait to see you spirit doll. I keep saying I'll make one and then putting it off.

MsR I just read the post about your darling house and your Gladys blanket box. What a wonderful story. I wish you would post a pic of your house. I bet that is Gladys that visits you in your sleep. She is happy because you have her home and you have her blanket box.

I've been very remiss about my blogger friends of late, too. We can get caught up together!

The chocolate sounds delicious. And I'll be looking forward to seeing your doll.

Enjoy your chilly day (remember all the hot ones just gone by!)

Hi Robyn

It has been a grey weekend in Melbourne too. But nice to catch up with bits and pieces (and blogs too!).

Mmm...the mexican chocolate cake you shared with Joe sounds lovely...I have heard when you eat chocolate leaning to the left the calories fall off hee hee..

It has been a sad week here in Australia with 3 Aussie icons dying. Very, very sad. Steve Irwin's death affected me the most as he seemed so full of life. And, a very loving family man. 44 - so young to go.

Loved your last post about Gladys and your home. Sounds like you have worked very , very hard to make it warm and welcoming. And I am sure Gladys is very happy you are living there! I think the blanket box is hers too.

Would love to see photo's of your home. It sounds much more cosy than the white mansion I must admit(can't imagine you living in a white mansion). And has much more character I am sure!

Much love to you on a Sunday.

Dotee xoxo

It is a September 'thing', I'm sure. I wrote a post about it on one of my blogs...so many awful things have happened in the month of September over the years. Did you know that World War 2 started in September?
