this morning
Last night it was an amazing sight to see over 50 fire trucks from all over New South Wales going up in convoy. The lights flashing but going slowly - people were honking the horns and waving. Great to see this support for these volunteers - yes, they volunteer to fight these fires. aren't they wonderful?
here is a link and my home is south-east of the fire.

Hi Robyn,
lets hope the tide has turned and things will begin to improve for you. This news must make you feel a little better. It's always great when people volunteer so selflessly isn't it. We get fires like that here in the summer, but we are blessed with so many lakes that although it's scary for people who live in those areas, they are usually able to contain them.
Goodmorning Robyn,
I came in yesterday to see your report and did not have a moment to leave a comment but here I am today and glad to see things have quietened down a little but I am sure the danger alert is still very high........Is your plan in order? do you know what you would do should you have to? (I know you probably do) but you see I have already lost a home in the big 1983 fires and so I get very worried each year for those who are close to another fire.
Thinking of you my dear and let me tell you it is a pleasure putting your stocking together but not sent yet! :o)
thank you also for your kind comments left on my blog and yes I am so pleased to be back in the land of blogging.

Oh Robin, firefighters are the BEST. We are all blessed by their presence and bravery among us.
Also not sure I got your correct email addy but I did sent you something. If you don't get it, I guess we will have to play "comments tag" until the connection sticks :) Am glad to be in the dolly exchange. This will be a very new creative and spiritual exploration for me ...
robyn - I Listened to the early news this morning and heard that they fires had settled down a bit - so praying that it will get better over there for you!! in my thoughts.
I'm so glad things are at least, no worse for you. I have been thinking about you all day and, although I'm now just going to bed in this wet country we live in, I will be thinking of you and this will be the first place I'll be in the morning to see how you are.
I have visited your blog daily for ever but now I'm just impelled to leave comments!
I hope you hear from your son soon.
I hope this gets under control soon too.
Glad you are coping well.
Yes I agree, volunteers make the world go around.
xo
God bless you all Robyn. And, yes, those guys are heroic in a very true sense.
Continuing to pray that you stay safe!!! It must really be horrible to never knowing day by day what's going to happen with the fire! xoxo
Keeping you, and those heroic volunteers, in my thoughts and prayers, Robyn. Sorry to hear 3 of them got hurt, but I'm glad they weren't terribly serious injuries. We lost four firefighters here a few weeks ago in one of our wildfires. Blessings to all those who put their lives on the line for us!
Hope they're able to get it all contained and put it out soon.
XO
My thoughts are with you!!
Oh Robyn, my heart is beating just reading your last posts, what wonderful, courageous fire fighters, and please God this will settle down. You are especially in my thoughts. I wish I could send over some of our autumn rain.
OMG I just came to read about the fire being so close to you. How awful. My thoughts are with you and your family now. Dear God c'mon and let it rain in New South Wales NOW! xox
I am so sorry to hear about your fires. I'm sure Shelley can relate as she had her Texas fires all summer long. So sad.
