a journey of self discovery. You just never know what we might see. Is that a fairy ring under that rowan tree? Look! - a hedgewitch, I wonder what she is brewing in her cauldron today. Oh, and look at that poor menopausal soul, she needs our love & understanding. We may take a stop at the creativity school or a wander through the garden. And maybe, we will take the time machine back to the past! But wherever we go, we will always take time to stop for tea.

night time visitors

as you know, I think our home has a resident spirit ~ Gladys. I am beginning to think she has been making herself known to others, this past week. Sophie said last night that she has an awful feeling about the house ~ this worried me (I don't like to think that anyone would get a bad feeling about my home) so I sat and talked to her ~ she said she has been getting 'night fright' for a few weeks ~ she has heard doors opening during the night when we are all asleep, she had a friend stay over on the weekend, who saw someone standing next to the bed & Sophie says she hears things all night. So I sat with her last night and explained to her that there is no way a 'bad' spirit could enter our home ~ I cleanse it with sage smudge regularly, I have protection crystals scattered around my house, I have more religious icons in my home than the Vatican (well, nearly) and they have all been blessed by priests I am sure (because that is what people did once upon a time) and I always ask the angels to put a protective guard around my home. I feel angels wandering through my home always. I told Sophie that if she ever feels a presence and is scared, just to close her eyes and say in her mind - 'I am frightened by you, please stop' & they will. That is the law of the universe, so I am told. but get this :~ as I was sitting on her bed chatting ~ the light came on for about a minute, then went off again. Sophie said 'see?'
~ funny thing is - we thought the bulb had broken and didn't have another to replace it with ~ hmmmm
of course, Joe the sceptic said we hadn't inserted the light bulb properly ~ ha!
so today, I think I will burn some sandalwood incense and have a little chat with my angels. they may give me an answer

Oh man..I just had this long post and accidentally deleted. It was like a spasm, my hand hit a button and it was gone. Oh well..I don't have time to repeat it now. I'll try to remember later.

I think you're fine on the True Balance thing. My book isn't here yet either and they're giving everyone 2 weeks per chapter. If nothing else, you and I can discuss it. :)

Perhaps Gladys isn't trying to act in a mean spirited way...or perhaps she is even working to keep out any bad spirits. I know I'd be frightened too, I must admit, things that go bump in the night would be a bit disquieting for someone who hasn't experienced it.

I was at the book store today and for the life of me could not remember the name of the book...I should have written it down. I would like to read it as well so I will go back tomorrow with my 25% off coupon.

I think since you mentioned Gladys to us and have been thinking about her she just wanted to come for a visit and say hi and see what you have done new to your and her home. Hopefully Sophia will feel the good spirit in Gladys and enjoy her visits.

I lived in a house back in the 70's and we'd all experienced numerous different things. Then one day a woman stopped while I was on the porch. She turned out to be a member of the historic haunted houses society here. She told me the entire story of the houses history. It was so interesting. Long story though.

Angels always have the answer..if we only listen! Say..do you think anyone might be interested in doing the chocolate swap with me as a one on one? For some reason, I feel a deep, deep, dark (chocolate) desire ...a craving if you will, to do this swap! ha! it is such a great idea! Just a thought!

Loved catching up on all your posts...the cardigan looks beautiful and love the way you placed the buttons! A lot of times when strange things happen in a house, it scares us because we fear the unknown...hopefully your friend will "see" Gladys and understand she's a good spirit:-)

It's only Gladys, but it's probably scary for someone who maybe doesn't understand these things. I've never seen a spirit, I wish I could, I feel left out!

In our house you can hear music playing very softly late at night. In my dd room her radio gets turned up real loud if she sleeps with it on and awakens her. In that same room my granddaughter says a granny lives in the closet. She even pt a chair in the closet and would go in to visit and talk to the granny. We also have seen flashes of something... For about 2years after my grandson died our front door would be found open. Finally I told him to close the door behind himself. It has never been found like that again. In one room if you take pictures you just about always get orbs. That room at one time was the granddaughters and she would not sleep in it, so we had to move her out of it. I believe spirits are here with us but my dh does not.

We lived ten years in a house shared by another spirit. I do not search for this sort of thing, though I believe it exist...we finally left our house, this "spirit" started to scary me! Everyone who came to visit us sensed it! I feel for you Robyn!

You are right Robyn, no evil spirit could cross the boundaries you have in force. It must be Gladys who knows you have been thinking of her. Believe me that really works to say 'I am frightened by you please go away'.

Poor Sophie. I hope now she feels better. I'm sure it's hard as a child to understand these things. Hope she's sleeping better. xoxo
