the elixir of life
without water, we die. simple as that. Here in Australia we live with drought, on & off. But rain always comes. A dear sweet friend of mine is experiencing a drought that has rocked her world and asked me if I have a spell - hmmm. not that I know of. Unless I do a naked rain dance, and believe me that is not a pretty sight. However - the good old trusty saints can come to the rescue as they do & will always.
Isidore the farmer for rain * AGRICOLA of Avignon for rain & fine harvests * HERIBERT of Cologne - against drought

Big hug to you Robin...thank you so much my sweet kind friend....I love the saints! I became a Catholic convert when I married my very staunch Irish/German Catholic husband. Have you heard of St. Swithin? he is supposed to be another patron of rain. Supposedly if it rains on his feast day...July 15 there will be 40 days of rain to follow...well...it didn't rain on his day...bummer! My Irish MIL said it will rain Aug.15 the Feast of the Assumption so I have my candles lit by her icon...I'll say some extra prayers to these new saints you mentioned too! It is 110 degrees no at 4pm...and so hot I may go out and bake some more cupcakes on my dashboard! Bless you dear Robyn!
ps I adore the pictures of the saints and all the pictures you post on your blog...so beautiful and uplifting.
It certainly would be nice if these saints would do their job:-) If you believe enough, maybe it will work!! So many people are suffering because of drought and I also pray that they get rain soon!!
