a journey of self discovery. You just never know what we might see. Is that a fairy ring under that rowan tree? Look! - a hedgewitch, I wonder what she is brewing in her cauldron today. Oh, and look at that poor menopausal soul, she needs our love & understanding. We may take a stop at the creativity school or a wander through the garden. And maybe, we will take the time machine back to the past! But wherever we go, we will always take time to stop for tea.

Location: Katoomba, NSW, Australia

here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

quick! get ready -

when I was little and was fighting sleep, my dad would jump up and yell 'quick, get ready - we are off to Blanket Bay' and he would bundle me up in a blanket and trot me off to bed. He would tuck me up and tell me to close my eyes and we would soon be in Blanket Bay. So being the good little gal that I was, I would close my eyes and off I would go...... not to Blanket Bay but to the Land of Nod - and that is where I am going right now....... nightie night xoxoxo

so sweet! I love stories like this of the tricks parents use on their kids. My parents convinced me that the car wouldn't start unless everyone had their seatbelt on!

Yeah, tricks. My mom used to say "a little bird told me" when she knew something I had done that I didn't want her to know. I really used to think birds could talk. Today, in my art, they can!

What a cute story! Thanks for sharing it. Ours was "off to dreamland" after the sandman arrived.

My Dad always tucked us kids in...he would always say..."Sleep tight...don't let the bed bugs bite"! I always thought something was living in my closet!
