decorating today - for YOU
Labels: Christmas 2006
a journey of self discovery. You just never know what we might see. Is that a fairy ring under that rowan tree? Look! - a hedgewitch, I wonder what she is brewing in her cauldron today. Oh, and look at that poor menopausal soul, she needs our love & understanding. We may take a stop at the creativity school or a wander through the garden. And maybe, we will take the time machine back to the past! But wherever we go, we will always take time to stop for tea.
here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

Robyn, you dear! Thanks for the light...I swear it reached me today right when I needed it. A woman handed me a religious tract saying God your Father loves you...right when I needed to see that. I almost started crying right there in the doctors office.
Ahhh...life. Bittersweet life!
Yes, empath. You are definately an empath.
I will google it and email you some more info.
Love ya Robyn! I will take you up on the Blogger Blessing Shelf.

Thank you Robyn. I have my special space too. It is my healing spot. It has my angels, my rosary, some fresh flowers, more angels and now a creche. loveya!
Thank you Robyn. That's a really great idea. You are such a special person.
May the candle of your generous spirit always burn bright.
I have a special portion of my business and communication altar dedicated to the blogosphere and all the amazing people I've met through it. I keep a paperweight shaped and etched like a globe, a bundle of notes and cards tied with pink satin ribbon, and a Lady of Guadalupe milagro.
P.S. thanks for stopping by my blog again at this busy time of year. I was touched by your offer to swap dollies directly and would love that. Will email later today or tomorrow to get details of what you envisioned
Thank you Robyn. I have a sacred space side aside too. I will place a special candle to light for Blogger friends there. That is a wonderful idea.
Oh, if only I could find one little spot in this house that was available for me! I'll try to find one....it's something I've always wanted to do, set up a little spiritual place for myself. Thanks for the reminder to do it. And also for the candle to light my way.
Thank you for a really sweet idea, Robyn. I'm going to set up another candle tonight.
xo
p.s. Do days go by more quickly in Australia? I could swear these posts weren't all here just yesterday! Someday I hope I can get bloglines to add me so I don't miss posts (I keep trying to join it and it keeps not sending me my confirmation notice so I can get in). sigh!
What a beautiful post! I love the look of your altar. I don't really have one right now, where I usually have it is covered with my culinary herbs which is an altar all on its own. I do light candles for people regularly, I will light them tonight for our bloggers as well as a friend of mine who is struggling. Thank you for the inspiration.
Robyn, I will definitely take you up on this wonderful idea and make a small candle altar for you and my blogging friends. I am totally enthralled with this idea.
Thank you, Robyn! Such a lovely thoughtful idea. I will light another candle for you and all my blogging friends who have enriched my life. Thank you for your lovely messages. Sending much love and hugs. xo
What a great IDEA! THank you ! I am going to make my GPS/and others... altar for Special Christmas magic!
Thank you dear Robyn xoxo That is so beautiful and I love the idea behind it!!!
May our candles illuminate our world and may we all feel peace love and blessings! hugs NG
I have a small space on our nightstand where I keep a candle, one of my Madonna statues and a few other treasures, my hubby is always afraid I will set the rv on fire!!
Hi miss*R!
I was so glad that you sent a fairy to tell me that are blogging again. I really missed your voice. Thanks for the offer about the girl guide badges. I'm feeling frantic right now -- too much DOING, not enough BEING, so I'm going to hold out a bit.
I enjoyed this post very much. I have a special place, too. I'd not though about how much my blogettes have changed my life, and I perhaps their's. Yes, I'll get a green candle for the heart chakra, and decorate that little corner of my altar. When I stared at your candle I felt such a force in my solar plexis. YELLOW!
This is so sweet and kind of you. You have such a generous spirit. I have some candles on my sideboard in front of an icon I light for my friends. They are burning as I type this...you are such a blessing. xxxooo
