yesterday & today - a rambling post that probably doesn't make much sense at all.
I went to the post office and sent my first batch of decorations off - I need to do this in batches as Frank, my post office man would be overwhelmed if I took them all at once. so as I package them up, I send them off.
here are my first batch at my front door ready to be sent - they are winging there way to 6 recipients ~ the next lot will be sent next week.
I also wrapped my glitter gal Christmas swap package up & one of my Society of Secret Faeries packages are ready to go on Monday. I get so excited when I send little parcels off to someone. It is like a sparkling little bubble in my solar plexus region, an effervescent bubble, that builds and builds til I can contain it no more - like I feel I am going to burst. Then I have to wait a week or more to see if it got there safely. And believe me, patience is not one of my virtues. Not at all. Patience is one of the lessons that I came here to learn. I am failing.
Oh and Sophie and I are sick - we have allergies from the smoke and both of us have been coughing all night.
Joe and I are off to breakfast in Leura this morning and I am going shopping for my stocking buddy! Also want to find a few bits n pieces for a friend for Christmas. Oh and I am going to the op shops also to find some old books for an altered book. Love those things! I want to do an altered book swap oneday..... oh the swaps I have planned for next year. there is the glitter swap & the friendship bag swap ~ and others of course.I can hardly wait (patience, child, patience).....
so there you have it - early morning thoughts from me
oh and the fires are still burning. The rain stopped at lunchtime yesterday and the fires were controlled but next week they are expecting unfavourable conditions - so we will deal with it then.

Goodness gracious! You are just a little busy bee! I sure hope you are feeling better..all that smoke must be awful!
You have been a busy gal! First, I'm so glad to hear the fires are somewhat under control but sorry to hear you are having smoke problems. Take care of yourself and enjoy your day out.
Wow I haven't been around much....sorry to hear about the fires, that's scary...blessing that rain was! Yes this is a busy time for everyone with Christmas on the horizon! Many extra chores for the season! Hope those fires cease soon.... Prayers for your town and you!

How do you fit it all in, I feel like I've done nothing all day...probably cause thats exactly what I have done...nothing.
The time gets away from me...I did do a couple of little projects and the usual meals etc..but now it's now nearly bedtime.
Oh well, tomorrow is another day..and another day closer to Christmas..!!!(insert shriek here!!)
I know what you mean about the excitement of sending off parcels, I'm feverishly trying to make all the things I want to send...a trip to the post is tomorrow for a couple of them. and I have more to go.

I don't know how you can handle so many swaps. I'm taking swap baby steps. :) I bet your kitchen is all cozy now with all that cleaning. I'm glad the fires are under control.

I'm so glad that at least some rain came to you. Maybe the situation feels less....I don't know, like the Apocalypse? To be sick from smoke on top of all that!

You certainly have been busy but isn't it such a wonderful feeling to know you got so much accomplished? hehe I didn't have a chance to visit anyone yesterday, it's just been such a busy time for me too! My son Shawn and his fiance Wendy are coming over next weekend so I'm trying to get everything done before they arrive! I hope you and Sophie get better real soon and the weather predictions are wrong, I am glad at least it has been controlled the fires, I think I know your situation, We have felt threatened like that as I mentioned to you before.

Robyn, if you have any extra time in your busy day, I could really use your help here since you do such a good job cleaning up your house. Mine looks like the wreck of the Hesperides. Isn't it fun to send out packages? I really love it when I send out a little "surprise". Like LisaO is always saying..Oh what joy there is in giving. It's true. Now, I am going to lie down with Kai because you have worn me out also!
